Congressman Seth Magaziner, representing Rhode Island's 2nd district, has recently shared insights on several pressing issues through his social media posts. The topics discussed range from critical minerals and strategic advantages to remembrance of transgender lives lost to violence and support for family caregivers.

On November 19, 2024, Congressman Magaziner addressed the importance of critical minerals for maintaining the United States' strategic advantage in science and technology. He participated in a subcommittee hearing with the @NRDems where they explored ways to enhance the critical mineral supply chain and boost domestic production sustainably. "Critical minerals are essential for the U.S. to maintain our strategic advantage in science & tech. Today at a @NRDems subcommittee hearing, we discussed how to improve our critical mineral supply chain & increase domestic production of such minerals in a sustainable way."

On November 20, 2024, he marked Transgender Day of Remembrance by emphasizing the need for non-violence amidst politically charged times. Congressman Magaziner expressed solidarity with his colleagues in the @EqualityCaucus in honoring transgender individuals who have been victims of violence over the past year. "On Transgender Day of Remembrance, let’s remember in these politically charged times that no one deserves to be a target of violence. I join my colleagues in the @EqualityCaucus in remembering the lives of transgender people who were taken from us in acts of violence this year."

Later that day, Congressman Magaziner highlighted National Family Caregivers Month by discussing his involvement with legislation aimed at supporting family caregivers. He spoke on the House Floor about co-leading a bill designed to streamline access to resources for caregivers who assist their loved ones living independently at home. "Every day, family caregivers support their parents, spouses + loved ones so they can live independently in their homes. This National Family Caregivers Month, I spoke on the House Floor about a bill I am co-leading that will make it easier for caregivers to navigate resources."
