Seth Magaziner, currently serving as the U.S. Congressman for Rhode Island's 2nd district, replaced James Langevin in 2023. Magaziner, a Rhode Island native born in 1983, has a background in education from Brown University and Yale University. His recent social media activity highlights various political issues.

On April 1, 2025, Congressman Magaziner emphasized the importance of dental care, linking it to general healthcare. "Dental care is health care—and it’s too often overlooked," he shared. In his interaction with the American Dental Association, he discussed strategies to strengthen dental providers and ensure access to care for Rhode Islanders.

Later that day, Magaziner addressed the challenges faced by family caregivers needing to take leave from work. In his tweet posted on April 1, 2025, he noted, "If you need to take time off from work to care for an ill or disabled loved one, you should be able to focus on caring for them without dealing with endless government forms." Magaziner expressed support for the ABC Act, intended to streamline paperwork for family caregivers.

On the same day, in another social media post, he reflected on his personal experiences as a parent in Congress. Magaziner stated, "When my daughter was born, I had to miss a few weeks in Congress, and I learned firsthand that Congress isn’t made for members with young kids." He highlighted a proposal to allow new parents to vote remotely, criticizing Speaker Johnson for blocking the initiative by shutting down the floor.
