Seth Magaziner highlights advisory contributions and concerns on NOAA impacts in Rhode Island

Seth Magaziner, currently representing Rhode Island's 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed topics related to military, veteran affairs, and the struggles of Rhode Island fishermen through a series of Twitter posts.

On April 14, 2025, Magaziner highlighted the contributions of his office's Military & Veterans Advisory Committee. He mentioned that the committee "raises concrete ideas on how to improve health care, benefits, and support systems for those who serve." He expressed gratitude for their insights as he continues efforts to ease the lives of veterans and service members in Rhode Island. Subsequently, he expressed concern regarding the impact of the Trump administration's management of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) on Rhode Island's fishermen. In his 18:55 UTC tweet, Magaziner emphasized that "Rhode Island fishermen are already being hurt by the Trump administration’s chaotic mismanagement of NOAA" and warned that "this will only make things worse.""This will only make things worse."

Seth Magaziner, aged 39, was born in Bristol, Rhode Island, and currently resides in Cranston. He succeeded James Langevin in the U.S. Congress following his graduation from Brown University and Yale University.
