Congressman Seth Magaziner, representing Rhode Island’s 2nd district, took to social media to express his concerns regarding Medicaid and its importance for community health centers in Rhode Island. In a series of tweets, he highlighted the potential impact of proposed cuts to Medicaid funding.

On March 4, 2025, Congressman Magaziner announced via Twitter that his guest for the State of the Union address would be Alison Croke, CEO of Wood River Health. He stated: "My guest for tonights' SOTU is Alison, CEO of Wood River Health. I invited her to shine light on the importance of Medicaid for community health centers, which serve 1 in 5 in RI. Ahead of Trump's address, we're saying: Medicaid can’t be cut to pay for tax cuts for the rich."

Continuing his advocacy on March 5, 2025, Magaziner reiterated his message by tweeting: "Tonight, I’m bringing Alison Croke, Exec Director of Wood River Health to the SOTU. Tens of thousands of Rhode Islanders get their health insurance from Medicaid, now under threat. President Trump must reassure the nation that he won’t cut Medicaid to pay for his tax cuts."

A subsequent tweet posted on March 5 contained only a link without additional commentary: "https://t.co/8lKNEUgwjT"
