As a current representative of Rhode Island’s 2nd district, Congressman Seth Magaziner frequently uses social media to update the public on his legislative activities and constituents' achievements. In a series of tweets on April 10, 2025, he touched upon various topics, ranging from local pride to national labor issues.

In one of the earlier tweets posted on April 10, 2025, at 15:04 UTC, Magaziner shared his meeting with Rhode Island’s 2025 Cherry Blossom Princess Delegate, Sophia Maynard. He expressed his pride in her accomplishments and excitement for her representation of Rhode Island, stating, "Just met with Sophia Maynard, Rhode Island’s 2025 Cherry Blossom Princess Delegate. A proud Rhode Islander, Sophia brings energy, leadership, and a deep love for our state to this prestigious program. Excited to see her share RI’s best with the world!"

Later in the day, at 16:07 UTC, Magaziner addressed significant labor concerns, condemning actions by former President Trump. His tweet highlighted his advocacy efforts about labor rights, "Trump launched one of the biggest attacks on labor in history—illegally stripping collective bargaining rights from 1.5M workers. If he can do this to federal workers, he won’t stop there. My colleagues and I are fighting back."

At 19:08 UTC on the same day, Magaziner focused on transparency and ethical conduct within Congress. He called for accountability regarding stock trades, following Trump’s tariff changes, and promoted his legislation aimed at banning stock trading by Congress members, emphasizing, "We need to know who profited off of Trump's 180 on tariffs and how. Speaker Johnson must require every member of Congress to disclose their trades from this week. And while we’re at it—let’s pass my bill to ban members of Congress from stock trading altogether."

Seth Magaziner currently serves in the U.S Congress, having replaced previous member James Langevin in 2023. Born in 1983, Magaziner is a native of Rhode Island and holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
