Congressman Seth Magaziner, who has represented Rhode Island’s 2nd district since 2023, shared recent engagements and concerns through social media posts on April 9 and 10, 2025. These communications span topics including technological achievements, food assistance challenges, and support for family caregivers.

In a tweet on April 9, 2025, Congressman Magaziner expressed optimism about the future of technology in Rhode Island, specifically praising North Kingstown High School students who won the 2024 Congressional App Challenge for RI-02 in Washington D.C. ("The future of tech is bright in Rhode Island!”).

Later that day, on April 9, 2025, Magaziner highlighted a concern regarding withheld funding by the former President Trump for emergency food aid impacting children. This includes nutritional paste produced by Edesia in North Kingstown. He stated that efforts are being mobilized in Washington to urge the White House to restore this critical funding ("Trump continued to withhold funding from emergency food assistance for starving children").

On April 10, 2025, Congressman Magaziner addressed the challenges faced by family caregivers in a speech on the House floor. Emphasizing family caregiving's personal importance to many families, he called for increased support for those taking leave from work to care for family members ("I spoke on the House floor about something close to home for so many families").

Seth Magaziner continues to reside in Cranston, Rhode Island. Having been born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983, he pursued higher education at Brown University and Yale University, graduating in 2006 and 2010, respectively. His political role in Congress follows his succession of previous Representative James Langevin.
