Seth Magaziner, a U.S. Congressman representing Rhode Island's 2nd district since 2023, has taken to social media to express his concerns regarding recent developments affecting Social Security services and executive actions. Born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983, Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.

On March 20, 2025, Congressman Magaziner highlighted the impact of changes to phone services for seniors and disabled Americans. He stated that "Seniors & disabled Americans made 80M calls to @SocialSecurity last year." He criticized former President Trump and Elon Musk for initiating the shutdown of these services, describing it as cutting off a vital lifeline to benefits. He announced joining with 60 colleagues to demand a reversal of this decision.

In another post on the same day, Magaziner shared an incident involving a friend's brother who had issues with his citizenship status due to alleged mishandling by interns at Social Security. He remarked that "Elon’s interns messing around in the social security database have no idea what they are doing." Expressing concern over potential consequences, he added that "Trump doesn’t care. It’s going to get ugly fast."

Additionally, Magaziner announced the launch of a new website by The Litigation & Response Task Force aimed at tracking House Democrats' efforts against what he described as Trump's unlawful executive actions. Encouraging public engagement with this initiative, he stated "As a member of the task force, I encourage you to explore the site for updates."
