Congressman Seth Magaziner, representing Rhode Island’s 2nd district since 2023, recently expressed his views on several pressing political issues through a series of tweets. These posts address the newly released budget plan by House Republicans, a controversial pardon decision by former President Trump, and the nomination of Kash Patel for FBI Director.

On February 12, 2025, Congressman Magaziner commented on the House Republicans' budget plan. He stated: "House Republicans just released their budget plan. Big cuts to the education, health care, agriculture. Even bigger tax cuts for the wealthy. Hard. No."

Later that day, he addressed former President Trump's decision to pardon individuals involved in the January 6th riots. Magaziner remarked: "Pardoning January 6th rioters who attacked law enforcement tells extremists that political violence is fair game. I’m standing with House Democrats to condemn Trump’s reckless decision and uphold the rule of law."

In another tweet on February 12, 2025, Magaziner expressed his concerns regarding Kash Patel's nomination for FBI Director. He urged: "The FBI Director must be an experienced, independent law enforcement professional—not someone focused on political retaliation, with a published ‘enemies’ list. Senate Judiciary Committee: Reject Kash Patel."
