On February 3, 2025, Congressman Magaziner highlighted the passage of the Social Security Fairness Act. He noted that "millions of public servants including teachers, police officers & first responders had been stripped of retirement benefits due to the WEP & GPO – until the Social Security Fairness Act ended this unfair policy."
