Seth Magaziner, currently serving as a U.S. Congressman representing Rhode Island’s 2nd district, has been vocal about recent actions taken by former President Donald Trump. Magaziner replaced James Langevin in Congress in 2023 and has since continued to engage actively with his constituents through social media.

On January 29, 2025, Congressman Magaziner commented on President Trump's decision to withdraw an executive order that had cut off federal funding. In his tweet, he stated: "Statement on President Trump's withdrawal of his illegal executive order cutting off federal funding."

Later the same day, Magaziner addressed concerns from his constituents regarding potential funding freezes at the Coventry Senior Center due to actions by the Trump administration. He reassured them that despite any financial uncertainties, "People are concerned about the Trump Admin’s potential funding freeze at the Coventry Senior Center—but no matter what, Bingo will never be canceled!"

In another tweet posted on January 29, 2025, Magaziner criticized Trump's approach to labor practices. He expressed concern over changes at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), stating: "The NLRB protects workers from union-busting and unfair labor practices. By gutting it and illegally firing key officials, Trump is making it easier for corporations to exploit workers. He’s not for the workers—he’s for the billionaires."
