On December 5, 2024, Congressman Magaziner announced an opportunity for the public to visit the State House and see the Independent Man statue up close before it is returned to its position atop the dome. He stated: "Ever wanted the chance to look at the Independent Man up close? This Saturday, you can take a tour of the State House and visit this RI icon before he returns back to the top of the dome."

Later that day, Magaziner welcomed students from Providence's Wheeler School to the U.S. Capitol. He expressed his appreciation for their visit by saying: "I was glad to welcome students from the Wheeler School in Providence to the U.S. Capitol today!
