Congressman Seth Magaziner, representing Rhode Island's 2nd district since 2023, has recently shared several updates on social media. His posts cover a range of topics from local cultural events to educational visits and sports.

On December 5, 2024, Congressman Magaziner announced an opportunity for the public to visit the State House and see the Independent Man statue up close before it is returned to its position atop the dome. He stated: "Ever wanted the chance to look at the Independent Man up close? This Saturday, you can take a tour of the State House and visit this RI icon before he returns back to the top of the dome."

Later that day, Magaziner welcomed students from Providence's Wheeler School to the U.S. Capitol. He expressed his appreciation for their visit by saying: "I was glad to welcome students from the Wheeler School in Providence to the U.S. Capitol today! Thank you for bringing your questions and enthusiasm. The future is looking bright!"

On December 6, 2024, Congressman Magaziner highlighted an upcoming basketball game between Providence College (PC) and the University of Rhode Island (URI). He remarked on this local sporting event: "Big game this Saturday! PC vs. URI – two great schools right here in #RI02. Whether you’re cheering for the Friars or the Rams, it’s going to be an exciting game. Who’s your pick?"
