Distance Swimmers Lead Bulldogs at BU

The Bryant swimming and diving teams each dropped their final dual meet of the season, falling to Boston University on Saturday. The men's team fell 173-124, while the women dropped to the Terriers by a score of 198-102.

Distance swimmers led the way for the Bulldogs, with Leo Luna, Makayla Pearce, and Natalia Kuipers combining to sweep the 500 and 1000 freestyles. The men's diving trio of Chris Buonocore and Drew and Will Arnold also stepped up to take the top three spots in both events.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Pearce took the Bulldogs' first win of the day in the 1000, swimming a time of 10:19.56.

  • Luna, Tyler Stringfellow, and Griffen Schimmel took a podium sweep in the men's 1000. Luna swam a winning time of 9:41.99.

  • Julia Stenhard (2:04.95) and Andrew Gamper (1:50.80) each took wins in the 200 fly. Brandon Naylor finished second in the men's race for a Bryant 1-2.

  • Natalia Kuipers took first place in the 500 with a time of 5:04.39. Pearce and Anna Jackson followed for the Bulldogs' second 1-2-3 distance finish of the day.

  • Chris Buonocore won both men's diving events, taking the three-meter with a score of 281.32 and the one-meter at 272.92. Drew and Will Arnold came second and third in both.
