Seth Magaziner, a U.S. Congressman representing Rhode Island's 2nd district since 2023, recently shared his views on healthcare and education through a series of tweets. Magaziner, who succeeded James Langevin, is an advocate for expanding pediatric care and strengthening educational opportunities.

On March 9, 2025, Congressman Magaziner emphasized the importance of healthcare for children by stating that "Every kid deserves good healthcare." He mentioned meeting with Rhode Island pediatricians from the American Academy of Pediatrics to discuss ways to expand pediatric care and invest in early childhood development.

The following day, March 10, 2025, he criticized proposed budget cuts to Medicaid by Republicans. He tweeted that "The Republican budget cuts billions from Medicaid in order to pay for tax cuts for the rich." He also noted that the Rhode Island delegation is united at Women & Infants Hospital to oppose these cuts on behalf of their constituents.

Later on March 10, Magaziner highlighted his commitment to educational opportunities by referencing RI Senator Claiborne Pell's vision: "RI Sen. Claiborne Pell had a simple idea: Every hard-working student deserves a shot at college." He testified before House Appropriations to protect and strengthen Pell Grants so that students are not priced out of educational opportunities.
