Fortuny scores 21 and Gallagher records a DBL-DBL in win vs. Hartford

Mariona Planes Fortuny recorded 21 points and seven boards in the Bryant University women's basketball teams' 75-52 home victory against Hartford.

Nicole Gallagher posted a 14-point and 11-rebound double-double, and Kemari Reynolds scored 11 points while dishing out four assists.

  • The Bulldogs jumped to a quick 12-2 lead in the game's first five minutes. Gallagher recorded four, Reynolds tallied four, Lucie Castagne had two, and Marta Neira Martinez started the game with a jumper off of a behind-the-back dribble.
  • The Black and Gold outscored the Hawks 10-3 to finish the quarter (22-5). Fortuny posted four, Blanca Chasco hit two free throws, Gallagher hit a layup, and Dana Kiefer got on the board with an excellent dish from Fortuny.
  • The Dawgs tallied 11 points (33-12) to begin the second quarter compared to the Hawks' seven. Fortuny registered four, Chasco went 2-2 from the line, Brianna Frongillo nailed a wing three, and Gallagher hit a nice fastbreak layup.
