Two Little East Conference (LEC) men’s basketball programs continue to be among those featured in January 9, 2023 edition of the D3hoops.com Poll.
Keene State College moved up two spots to No. 4 in this week’s poll with 535 points after improving to 13-0 (5-0 LEC) for the season following conference victories over UMass Dartmouth, 100-72, and Western Connecticut State University, 71-68 in overtime. The Owls are now one of four undefeated teams in the country, and their 13 wins are the second-most in the nation.
The Owls have a pair of league games on tap this week, both on the road. Keene State will head to Eastern Connecticut State University Wednesday (6 p.m.) before traveling to UMass Boston Saturday (3 p.m.).
Despite the loss to Keene State, which was its lone game of the week, WestConn remains among the teams receiving votes in the poll. The Wolves are entered this week’s action with an overall record of 10-1 (2-1 LEC) before edging out UMass Dartmouth in league action Monday night. WestConn has two more conference games to come this week, traveling to Rhode Island College (6 p.m.) Wednesday before hosting the University of Southern Maine Saturday (3 p.m.).
