Bulldogs set to face first-place UAlbany in N.Y. on Wednesday

The Bryant University women's basketball team faces the first-place Great Danes of UAlbany in a road matchup on Wednesday night.

THE SERIESThe Bulldogs are 1-1 all-time against the Great Danes. The Black and Gold fell to UAlbany last season on the road 60-34. Fortuny led the Dawgs with 12 points.

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANESThe Great Danes head into Wednesday's matchup with a 10-8 record and a 4-0 record in conference play. UAlbany has three scorers that are averaging 10+ ppg. Kayla Cooper (11.6 ppg), Helene Haegerstrand (13.3 ppg), and Ellen Hahne with 14.1 ppg.

WHAT TO KNOW

  • Kemari Reynolds in her first four starts of the season. She is averaging 9.2 ppg, 5 RPG, and 4 ast/g since she has become a starter, including a career-high 12 points against UMBC.
  • Lucie Castagne is 5-8 from beyond the arc in the last three AE games (62.5%). On the season, Castagne is shooting a career-high 41.2% from three.
  • Nicole Gallagher made three triples for the third time in four games against the Retrievers. Gallagher is shooting a career-best 40% from deep.
  • Mariona Planes Fortuny logged her eighth 20+ performance of the season on Saturday. She is currently leading seven offensive categories in the conference.
