Please join us on the first friday of every month for the Brown Division of Global Emergency Medicine National Educational Conference!

The division welcomes you to join our virtual conference (Zoom) to participate in presentations, journal clubs, virtual clinical rounds, and discussions led by division faculty, fellows, and invited speakers on topics related to global health, emergency medicine, infectious diseases, public health, disaster and humanitarian response and much more.

Students (undergraduate, graduate, medical, etc.), residents/fellows, faculty, and other researchers and practitioners from within and outside of Brown University are welcome to join and get involved with the division and our collaborators. No prior participation or experience is necessary.

The mission of the Division of Global Emergency Medicine is to provide high-quality, culturally competent, emergency care, education, research, and leadership in resource-limited settings across the globe. The division engages residents, medical students, physician assistants, and fellows in global emergency medicine collaborations from institutions around the world.

Division members have currently or previously worked on international educational, research, and relief activities in Rwanda, Kenya, Bangladesh, Nepal, Colombia, Haiti, Bahamas, American Samoa,Nicaragua, Liberia, Fiji, Libya, Turkey, South Sudan, Ecuador, Ghana, Tanzania, and Uganda.
