For the first time this season, the Western Connecticut State University men’s soccer team is among those receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, it was announced by the organization Tuesday.
The Wolves enter this week’s action with an unblemished 14-0-0 record, which includes a perfect 5-0-0 mark in Little East Conference (LEC) play. WestConn is also riding a three-match shutout streak that has seen it keep Castleton (2-0), Plymouth State (2-0) and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (1-0) off the board.
The Wolves opened this week’s action with a non-conference 1-1 draw with Drew last night. WestConn will be back in LEC play with Saturday’s league tilt at UMass Dartmouth at noon.
