Field Athlete of the Week
Hannah Corbett (Sebago, Maine) - Senior - Southern Maine
Corbett was named the LEC Field Athlete of the Week after she won the weight throw (13.87m) and placed fourth in the shot put (10.72m) at the USM Open I meet. Her toss in the weight is currently tied for sixth-best in New England.
Track Athlete of the Week
Olivia Mosca (Brewer, Maine) - Sophomore - Southern Maine
Mosca was named the LEC Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 3,000 meter at the USM Open I meet. Her converted time of 10:35.95 ranks 27th in NCAA Division III and is the fastest in the LEC this season.
Rookie Field Athlete of the Week
Janiah Young (Perkinsville, Vt.) - Freshman - Southern Maine
Young was named the LEC Rookie Field Athlete of the Week after she won the long jump with a mark of 5.16 meters at the USM Open I meet. That mark places her just 0.01m off the national leaderboard, and is seventh-best in New England so far this season.
Rookie Track Athlete of the Week
Haley Oliver (Coventry, R.I.) - Freshman - Rhode Island College
Oliver was named the LEC Rookie Track Athlete of the Week after she finished fifth in the mile (5:22.55) and 12th in the 3,000m (10:59.10) at UMass Boston's Beacon Invitational. Her mile time currently ranks 27th in DIII, while her 3K time ranks 42nd in the country.
Relay of the Week
Southern Maine Sprint Medley Relay
The Huskies’ sprint medley relay comprised of Sophia Slovenski, Madison Fornasier, Sophia Poole and Hailey Snedeker had the second-time at the USM Open I, combining to finish in 5:03.57 in the 1,600-meter event.
