Offensive Player of the Week
Kaylee Haynes (Bridgewater, Mass.) - Senior - Forward - UMass Boston
Haynes was named the LEC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring the lone goal of the match in a 1-0 conference victory at Castleton that locked up the No. 3 seed for the Beacons in this week’s LEC Championship Tournament.
Defensive Player of the Week
Carmen Nieves (Sutton, Mass.) - Senior - Back - Eastern Connecticut
Nieves led a defense that did not yield a goal while limiting opponents to just seven shots on goal in a pair of scoreless draws with Plymouth State and UMass Dartmouth. The Panthers had four shots on target, while the Corsairs managed just three shots on goal. The Warriors have notched three consecutive shutouts, and have eight for the season.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Maria Spylios (Leominster, Mass.) - Senior - UMass Boston
Spylios was named the LEC Goalkeeper of the Week after stopping all 11 shots on goal she faced in a 2-0-0 week for the Beacons. The senior opened the week with a six-save effort in a 1-0 non-conference at Bridgewater State before tallying five saves in a 1-0 league win at Castleton.
Rookie of the Week
Miranda Martincic (Whitestone, N.Y.) - Freshman - Midfield - Western Connecticut
Martincic was named the LEC Rookie of the Week after scoring a pair of goals in the Wolves non-conference victory over Bard last week.
