Little East Conference recently issued the following announcement.
Sophomore midfielder Nick Lamattina of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy men’s lacrosse team earned a spot on the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Coaches (USILA) Division III Team of the Week for the week-ending April 17, 2022.
Lamattina scored four goals in the Bucs’ 14-10 Little East Conference (LEC) victory over Plymouth State last week, which was their lone contest of the week. HE scored twice in man-up situations, the second of which was the eventual game-winner with 4;14 to go in the third quarter.
Massachusetts Maritime improved to 4-7 overall and 2-2 in the LEC with that win, and has since picked up a 15-10 league victory over Eastern Connecticut. The Bucs close out this week’s action with another LEC matchup at Western Connecticut Saturday at 1 p.m.
