Cost of college went up for all students at Empire Beauty School-Warwick

Tuition and fees rose 5.7 percent for 2018-19 at Empire Beauty School-Warwick, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Rhode Island students paid $17,250 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $930 more than the $16,320 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 17 students received grants or scholarships totaling $98,170 and 20 students took out student loans totaling more than $158,000.

Including all undergraduates (92), 84 students used grants or scholarships totaling $296,308, and 84 students took out $541,875 in federal student loans.
