Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, has outlined his views on revitalizing the American middle class through a series of posts on social media.

On August 21, 2025, Magaziner wrote: “The American middle class was the envy of the world for much of the last century. We can bring it back by: Repealing Trump’s tax cuts for millionaires Using the money to give middle-class Americans a tax break Ensuring the wealthy pay their fair share into Social Security”. In a related post from the same day, he encouraged readers to learn more about his proposals: “Read more about my plan to move forward with a Democratic agenda that works for the middle class. https://t.co/znX0ocE2rn”.

Magaziner has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin as representative for Rhode Island’s 2nd district. He was born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston. His educational background includes degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
