U.S. Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district, posted a series of messages on September 9, 2025, highlighting the impact of halted offshore wind projects and encouraging constituent engagement.
In a post on September 9, Magaziner addressed the situation faced by offshore worker Connor Walcutt and his crew: “Offshore worker Connor Walcutt and his crew are stranded at sea after Trump halted the nearly complete Revolution Wind project—just one example of the lives upended by Trump’s decision. Sec. Burgum must lift the stop work order now.”
Later that day, he thanked local residents for attending office hours: “Thank you to everyone who came to my office’s constituent services office hours today at the East Greenwich Library. If you need help with a federal agency, we are here to help!”
Magaziner also emphasized the importance of input from constituents in shaping policy decisions: “Some of the best ideas I take to Washington come straight from constituents. That’s why I want to hear directly from you about ways to make our country better. Got a good idea that needs a solution in Washington? Share it with my team here https://t.co/stfF5gi2dP”
Seth Magaziner has represented Rhode Island’s 2nd District in Congress since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. He was born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston. Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
