Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on March 13, 2026, highlighting local achievements and ongoing advocacy efforts.

In his first post of the day, Magaziner recognized a local World War II veteran: “Happy 100th birthday to WWII veteran George Barber of Burrillville, who celebrates this incredible milestone this week. We owe a deep debt of gratitude to George and the entire generation who served and sacrificed so much for our country. https://t.co/Huy6wjV9rw” (March 13, 2026).

Later that afternoon, he announced federal funding secured for a community initiative: “I recently secured $850K for the South Kingstown Housing Authority of federal funding to build a new community center for residents of affordable and senior housing. This space will bring neighbors together & provide case management services to support the people who live here. https://t.co/m38CWKTkwN” (March 13, 2026).

In another update posted in the evening, Magaziner shared his engagement with local seniors: “Today I was proud to speak to members of the Senior Agenda Coalition of Rhode Island in Providence. We are in the fight of a lifetime to protect Social Security and Medicare and make sure every American can retire with dignity. https://t.co/5KXRLTDVVl” (March 13, 2026).

Seth Magaziner has served as U.S. Representative since replacing James Langevin in 2023. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, Magaziner is an alumnus of Brown University and Yale University.
