U.S. Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district, posted a series of updates on March 30, 2026, highlighting both educational infrastructure improvements in his state and expressing criticism of congressional leadership.
In one post from March 30, Magaziner wrote: “Every child deserves a safe, modern place to learn. Today we celebrated upgrades to EG High School, Frenchtown Elementary and Hanaford Elementary. It’s really exciting to see the school construction program I helped launch years ago still producing results.”
Later that day, he addressed actions by House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Minority Leader John Thune: “Speaker Johnson and Leader Thune sent Congress home prematurely. They can – and should – bring us back immediately.”
Magaziner also participated in an event marking the opening of a new school facility: “Proud to stand with the Central Falls community for the ribbon cutting of the new Central Falls High School. It’s been a long road and a lot of work, but now thousands of students will benefit from this incredible new facility. Warrior Pride!”
Seth Magaziner has served as Rhode Island’s 2nd district representative since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, Magaziner is an alumnus of Brown University (BA, 2006) and Yale University (2010). His involvement in education initiatives reflects ongoing efforts within Rhode Island to upgrade public school facilities.
