Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates and opinions on August 21, 2025, through several posts on his social media account.

In one post from the afternoon of August 21, Magaziner highlighted recent legislative efforts by stating, “I introduced the PTO act because everyone deserves paid time off to recharge—and what better way than at a Rhode Island beach? Which is your favorite #RI02 beach town?”.

Later that day, he reflected on constituent engagement: “Great turnout at Community Office Hours in North Kingstown! Our constituent services team enjoyed hearing directly from Rhode Islanders and helping them navigate federal agencies and services. Missed them today? Give us a call at (401) 244-1201.”

Addressing political strategy in response to redistricting practices, Magaziner also wrote: “If Republicans are going to gerrymander mid-census to make up for their unpopular agenda, Democrats cannot afford to sit back. We need to fight fire with fire. Watch. “

Seth Magaziner has served as U.S. Representative for Rhode Island’s 2nd District since replacing James Langevin in 2023. Born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
