Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted local leadership, community events, and ongoing political debates in a series of posts on his social media account.
On December 7, 2025, Magaziner recognized Dave Chenevert’s retirement from the manufacturing sector: “Honored to recognize Dave Chenevert as he retires after 14 years leading @mfgri and 41 years in the manufacturing industry. Dave strengthened RIMA’s role in advocating for workforce development and helped carry Rhode Island’s manufacturing legacy forward for the next generation.”
The following day, on December 8, Magaziner commented on a seasonal event held in Providence: “Christmas on the Parkway brought joy and energy to the Pleasant Valley Parkway once again. Thanks to @JoannRyanPVD5 and all the community partners who make this tradition a highlight of the season for Providence families.”
Later that same day, he addressed Congressional colleagues regarding recognition for law enforcement officers involved in defending the Capitol during January 6th: “If my Republican colleagues really support law enforcement, they need to tell Speaker Johnson to stop stalling and hang the plaque honoring the officers who defended the Capitol on Jan 6.”
Seth Magaziner began serving as U.S. Representative for Rhode Island’s 2nd District in 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. He was born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston. Magaziner is an alumnus of Brown University (2006) and Yale University (2010).
