On July 25, 2025, Magaziner announced the release of previously frozen federal funds for K-12 schools, stating: “Great news: After weeks of public pressure, the Trump admin is releasing the $5B+ in K-12 school funding it illegally froze. This is a win for students and teachers, and I was proud to advocate to get these critical funds flowing again for Rhode Island.”
Later that day, he shared a more personal message about returning home after congressional duties: “After another crazy week in Washington, it is so nice to be back home with my family at the FirstWorks Summer Beats concert series at Roger Williams Park!” (July 25, 2025).
On July 26, 2025, Magaziner criticized recent tax policies and outlined his legislative priorities: “Trump & Republicans gave billionaires tax cuts in their Big Ugly Bill. I am fighting for: A tax break for the Middle Class Enhanced SSA benefits A right to unionize Paid time off for all workers Let’s put regular people first, not billionaires.”
Seth Magaziner has served as U.S. Representative since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. He was born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston. Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
