Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, marked Constitution Day and highlighted community engagement and youth access to national parks in a series of posts on September 17, 2025.
In his first post, Magaziner reflected on the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution: “On this day in 1787, the Constitution was signed. This foundational document reminds us: The President is not a king, the legislative, executive, and judicial branches are coequal, and no one is above the law. We have a responsibility to uphold those principles.” (September 17, 2025)
Later that day, he recognized Rhode Island’s Armenian-American community and described a recent meeting with advocates: “Rhode Island is home to a vibrant Armenian-American community, and I will always stand with them in Congress. It was a privilege to welcome ANCA of Rhode Island to my DC office to discuss how Congress can continue supporting Armenians in RI & human rights around the world.” (September 17, 2025)
Magaziner also promoted youth access to public lands by announcing his support for federal legislation: “Did you know all fourth graders in the U.S. can visit hundreds of national parks, lands, and waters for free? I just signed onto the Every Kid Outdoors Act to reauthorize this program and ensure kids of all backgrounds can experience our parks.” (September 17, 2025)
Seth Magaziner has served as Rhode Island’s 2nd district representative since replacing James Langevin in 2023. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
