U.S. Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district, recently shared updates on his legislative activities and engagement with constituents through a series of posts on social media.
On September 11, 2025, Magaziner addressed his followers about the importance of public input in shaping policy decisions. He wrote, “Your voices make my work possible. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been collecting your ideas, and I’ve taken actions on each of them. Here is an update.

Later that day, Magaziner highlighted his ongoing commitment to veterans’ issues. In a post dated September 11, 2025, he stated, “Rhode Island’s veterans bravely answered the call to serve, and we have a sacred obligation to care for them when they return home.
I was proud to meet with members of the @vfw_ri to talk about ways I can bring their voices to DC.”
The following day, on September 12, 2025, Magaziner commented on the limitations and responsibilities faced by lawmakers in Washington regarding life-saving measures: “We don’t have the power in Washington to save every life, but we do have the power to save many lives. Let’s act.”
Seth Magaziner has served as U.S. Representative for Rhode Island’s 2nd District since replacing James Langevin in 2023. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston at age 39, Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University (2006) and Yale University (2010).
