U.S. Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district, shared updates on recent community engagements and local initiatives in a series of posts on his official social media account.
On April 9, 2026, Magaziner expressed appreciation for a visit to a local senior center: “Thank you to the Coventry Senior Center for the warm welcome and a great conversation about how we can make Congress work better for seniors and all Rhode Islanders.”
Later that day, he highlighted the reopening of a historic business in Greene: “The original Summit General Store in Greene dates back to the 1800s before closing in 2022. Thanks to Suzy ‘Q’ Quattrocchi, it has been brought back to life, and I was glad to stop by today!”
On April 10, Magaziner discussed behavioral health services following his participation at an event hosted by Thrive Behavioral Health Rhode Island: “.@ThriveBHRI provides personalized care for people impacted by mental illness, addiction, and trauma. I was honored to join their legislative breakfast today to talk about the need to invest more in behavioral health services for all who need them.”
Magaziner has served as U.S. Representative since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. He was born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston. Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University (2006) and Yale University (2010).
