U.S. Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district, shared updates on social media on August 8, 2025, regarding community health initiatives and policy discussions.
In a post from August 8, Magaziner described his engagement with the local Alzheimer’s Association: “I had a great conversation with @alzassocri today. So many lives are touched by Alzheimer’s disease, and to end this disease we need to fund more research and more support for caregivers.”
Later that day, Magaziner appeared on national television to discuss political challenges facing working Americans. He wrote on X at 19:51 UTC: “Joined @CNNSitRoom to discuss why Americans are frustrated, and the need for Democrats to present a positive policy agenda to help working people. On the same date, he highlighted efforts to address food insecurity in Rhode Island: “Today we broke ground on an expansion of the North Kingstown food pantry, which will add storage, more food options, and a space for cooking demonstrations. No one should go hungry in Rhode Island. Pantries like this one help ensure that people are taken care of.”
Magaziner has served as U.S. Representative since replacing James Langevin in 2023. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, he is a graduate of Brown University and Yale University.
