U.S. Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district, shared a series of posts on his social media accounts between February 9 and February 10, 2026, addressing topics ranging from sports enthusiasm to federal funding for local infrastructure and concerns about federal law enforcement.
On February 9, Magaziner posted about the New England Patriots’ recent performance: “Proud of this young Patriots team for a huge season. The future is looking bright in New England!”
Later that day, he highlighted new federal support for Rhode Island’s coastal communities: “In the Ocean State, beaches are everything! That is why I am so excited that $250,000 of federal funding I secure is headed to South Kingstown Town Beach to improve accessibility and restore and fortify the coastline.”
On February 10, Magaziner commented on immigration enforcement practices: “ICE has brought unnecessary violence into American streets, but the problem is not just the actions of the agents on the ground – it’s the lack of accountability from the top.”
Magaziner has served as U.S. Representative for Rhode Island’s 2nd District since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
