Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted his involvement in community and public service initiatives through a series of social media posts.
On March 31, 2026, Magaziner posted about his participation in a cultural event: “Honored to attend the 205th Greek Independence Day Celebration organized by @LouRaptakis at the State House
Rhode Island’s Greek community is an important part of our state, and today was a wonderful reminder of the traditions that make it so special.”
The following day, April 1, 2026, he addressed workforce development efforts: “Many good-paying jobs don’t require a four-year degree. That is why I’m leading 15 colleagues to request $64 million for career and technical education.
We need to support CTE programs that train young people for great career paths and strengthen our economy.”
Later on April 1, Magaziner referenced federal funding for emergency services: “A modern emergency operations center can save lives by reducing call times during emergencies.
I secured a $530k grant in 2024 for the Warwick FD to open a new state-of-the-art center so that everyone in Warwick can get the fastest possible emergency service when they need it.”
Seth Magaziner has served as Rhode Island’s representative since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. He was born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston. Magaziner graduated from Brown University with a BA in 2006 and earned an additional degree from Yale University in 2010.
