Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on social media between September 23 and 24, 2025, addressing topics ranging from economic policy to cancer research.
On September 23, Magaziner posted a brief endorsement with “More of this.” Later that day, he commented on Federal Reserve policy following a visit from Chairman Jerome Powell to Rhode Island: “It was good spending time with @federalreserve Chairman Powell during his visit to Rhode Island today. In order to avoid the hyperinflation and corruption that has plagued countries that politicized their central banks, the Fed must remain independent.”
The next day, Magaziner turned his attention to public health issues. On September 24, he wrote: “Everyone knows someone who has been impacted by cancer, or they have been impacted themselves. Matt from @ACSCANRI has a good idea: Put our foot on the gas and fund research and care for those battling cancer.”
Seth Magaziner began serving in Congress in 2023 after succeeding James Langevin as representative for Rhode Island’s 2nd district. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University (2006) and Yale University (2010). He is among several younger members of Congress with backgrounds rooted in both local community ties and higher education.
