Congressman Seth Magaziner, representing Rhode Island’s 2nd district since 2023, has recently shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. The congressman, who succeeded James Langevin and is a graduate of Brown University and Yale University, has been vocal about his positions on education, healthcare, and political accountability.
On July 10, 2025, Congressman Magaziner criticized the Trump Administration’s actions regarding the Department of Education. He stated that “The Trump Admin thinks they can gut the Department of Education in the dead of summer and no one will notice. We noticed. And we won’t stop fighting until every dollar is restored.”
In another tweet posted later that day, Magaziner expressed his commitment to strengthening the nursing workforce by co-sponsoring relevant legislation. He announced his support for the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act to enhance training programs and address shortages in nursing both in Rhode Island and nationwide. He wrote: “Quality health care depends on a strong nursing workforce. I’m cosponsoring the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act to expand training programs, invest in clinical education, and help address nursing shortages in Rhode Island and across the country.”
Later on July 10th, Magaziner commented on a financial settlement involving Paramount and former President Donald Trump. He described it as an instance of corruption while indicating ongoing efforts with colleagues to address such issues: “Paramount just handed Trump $16 million to settle a baseless lawsuit. Here’s what’s really going on, why it is corruption in broad daylight, and what me and my colleagues are doing about it…”
Seth Magaziner was born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston.
