Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on December 1 and 2, 2025, addressing local recognition, U.S. foreign policy, and economic concerns.
On December 1, Magaziner highlighted a local business achievement: “No surprise! Ocean Mist in South Kingstown was named a TOP dive bar by USA Today. Congratulations to all the staff. What other local Rhode Island spots do you think deserve recognition?” (December 1, 2025).
Later that day, he commented on U.S. military actions abroad: “The Trump Administration’s Military Actions in Venezuela are about one thing: oil.” (December 1, 2025).
The following day, Magaziner addressed rising consumer costs: “Right before the holidays, a 24% spike on appliance costs. 7% on electronics. This is what happens when a President starts a trade war for no good reason. Working people foot the bill.” (December 2, 2025).
Seth Magaziner has served as the representative for Rhode Island’s 2nd District since replacing James Langevin in 2023 and is known for his engagement with both national issues and local community matters. Born in Bristol in 1983 and now residing in Cranston, Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
