U.S. Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district, posted a series of tweets on November 2, 2025, addressing issues ranging from local community support to national political gridlock.
In a post at 12:27 p.m., Magaziner highlighted the role of local organizations in supporting residents amid delays in federal assistance: “The Johnnycake Center is one of many local organizations stepping to fill the gap as we wait for the Trump administration to comply with the court order to release SNAP funding. Rhode Islanders are stepping up. We need the administration to do the same.”
Later that day, at 2:41 p.m., he criticized House Republicans for their absence during a government shutdown and rising health care costs: “House Republicans have been on vacation for 44 days. The government is shut down and health care costs are exploding. Cancel the vacation, and let’s get back to Washington. We have work to do.”
At 3:34 p.m., Magaziner shared his participation in an event honoring veterans: “Last night we honored Rhode Island’s veterans at @WaterFireProv’s Annual Salute to Veterans. I am grateful for every Rhode Islander who has served and for the community members who come together each year to say thank you.”
Magaziner has represented Rhode Island’s 2nd congressional district since replacing James Langevin in 2023. Born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983, he now resides in Cranston and holds degrees from Brown University (2006) and Yale University (2010).
