Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media addressing the death of Renee Good and calling for accountability regarding recent events in Minneapolis.
On January 10, 2026, Magaziner wrote: “Renee Good is dead, not just because of the actions of an agent on the scene, but because of the policies coming from the White House. Here are some examples. https://t.co/OjHZXFv6YI”.
Two days later, on January 12, he shared a link without further comment: “https://t.co/srq4pjH7NY”.
Later that same day, Magaziner added: “I join my colleagues on the Homeland Security Committee in calling for Secretary Noem to testify under oath about the fatal shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis. The chaos in Minneapolis is the result of policies from the top – and the American people deserve accountability.”
Seth Magaziner has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after replacing James Langevin as representative for Rhode Island’s 2nd district. Born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
