Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed economic and community issues through a series of posts on his social media account.
On February 19, 2026, Magaziner commented on the impact of tariffs on American consumers. He stated, “Tariffs are not being paid by foreign countries — they are paid by you and your family at the checkout line. It is time to roll back these reckless tariffs and bring costs down ASAP.”
The following day, February 20, 2026, Magaziner marked the anniversary of a significant tragedy in Rhode Island’s history. He wrote, “Today, Rhode Island remembers the lives lost and the families forever changed by the Station nightclub fire. We honor their memory and hold close the lessons learned from that tragic night.” On the same day, he also posted a link without further comment: “https://t.co/luJ7dTSlXP”.
Seth Magaziner began serving in Congress in 2023 after succeeding James Langevin as representative for Rhode Island’s 2nd district. Born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983, Magaziner resides in Cranston and is an alumnus of Brown University and Yale University.
