Seth Magaziner calls for more focus on workers and middle class in recent posts

Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted issues facing working and middle-class Americans through a series of posts on social media.

On August 15, 2025, Magaziner posted about his engagement with local labor representatives: “Today, I met with Rhode Island labor leaders to discuss the fight for fair wages, safer workplaces, and better conditions for all workers. When we stand up for working people, we strengthen the state.”

The following day, August 16, 2025, he criticized both major political parties for their approach to economic policy: “Neither Republicans or Democrats in Washington pay enough attention to the middle class. It is time we change that. Here’s how:” Later that day he added a brief message encouraging further reading: “Read:”

Magaziner has served as the representative for Rhode Island’s 2nd District since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. He was born in Bristol in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston. Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
