Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several policy issues and commemorative events through a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On May 31, 2026, Magaziner highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by home care workers under federal law. He stated, “Home care workers do essential work, yet are still denied minimum wage guarantees and overtime protections under federal law. I’m proud to support a bill to ensure they are paid fairly and help retain the home health workers people rely on every day.”

Later that same day, Magaziner commented on public distrust toward government officials regarding financial conduct. In his post dated May 31, 2026, he wrote, “People don’t trust Washington because they see headline after headline about insider trading and self-enrichment schemes by politicians. To end this corruption, we need to ban stock trading by Washington officials and get dark money out of politics.”

On June 1, 2026, Magaziner marked Pride Month with a message supporting LGBTQ rights. He posted, “Happy Pride Month! This month, we honor and celebrate the culture and resilience of the LGBTQ community. As a member of the @EqualityCaucus, I will continue fighting to protect equality for all Americans.”

Magaziner has served as Rhode Island’s representative in Congress since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston at age 39, he is an alumnus of Brown University (BA) and Yale University.
