Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. House of Representatives, has recently addressed several pressing national and international issues through his social media posts.
On April 16, 2026, Magaziner publicly advocated for a shift in U.S. foreign policy by stating, “I rose in the House today to call for an end to the costly and unnecessary War in Iran.”
The following day, on April 17, he commented on global security concerns involving Russia. He wrote, “Vladimir Putin continues to be one of the greatest threats to democracy in the world. I met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko to reaffirm the importance of America supporting Ukraine in its fight for freedom.”
Later that same day, Magaziner highlighted domestic economic challenges related to energy costs. He posted, “People are struggling with high utility bills, and yet RFK Jr’s HHS hasn’t released $400 million of LIHEAP funding Congress appropriated to lower energy costs for those who need it. I’m joining colleagues on both sides of the aisle to call on Kennedy to release the funding.”
Magaziner has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. Born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, he is a graduate of Brown University and Yale University.
