Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, addressed a range of issues in a series of social media posts on February 6, 2026.
In one post, Magaziner commented on immigration policy, stating “They are still deporting veterans.” (posted February 6, 2026).
Later that day, he issued a public safety advisory for Rhode Island residents regarding an upcoming weather event: “Rhode Island: Expect extreme cold this weekend. Limit time outside, check on vulnerable neighbors, and visit a warming center if necessary: https://t.co/QrJsob9ysF.” (posted February 6, 2026).
Magaziner also highlighted local involvement in national sports by noting coaching appointments to the U.S. Men’s Ice Hockey Team: “David Quinn of Cranston and Warwick-born John Hynes will serve as assistant coaches for the U.S. Men’s Ice Hockey Team this year. Seth Magaziner has served in Congress since replacing James Langevin in 2023 and is known for his engagement with local and national issues. Born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, Magaziner graduated from Brown University in 2006 and later earned a degree from Yale University.
