Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed several national and local issues through a series of social media posts.

On August 26, 2025, Magaziner commented on former President Donald Trump’s political ambitions. He stated, “Yes, Donald Trump is trying to make himself a dictator. But this is not a time for panic, it is a time for discipline. Here is what we have to do.”

The following morning, August 27, he highlighted his participation in an event focused on defense technology innovation in Rhode Island. Magaziner wrote, “I joined SENEDIA’s Defense Innovation Days this morning, to discuss how the innovative work on undersea technology being done by dozens of companies and thousands of people here in Rhode Island is making our country and the world safer.”

Later that day, Magaziner announced legislative action targeting workplace wage theft. He posted, “Today I’m reintroducing my bill to crack down on employers who steal money from their employees. Wage theft should be a felony, not a slap on the wrist. And under my bill, it will be nationwide.”

Magaziner has served as the representative for Rhode Island’s 2nd District since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston at age 39, he holds degrees from Brown University (2006) and Yale University (2010).
