Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media on October 2, 2025, focusing on health care costs and federal funding.

Later that evening at 19:27 UTC, he commented on public perception and political leadership with the message: “The American people are smarter than Republicans in Washington realize.”
At 19:59 UTC, Magaziner described his visit to Kent Hospital in Warwick and highlighted the importance of maintaining health care funding in the federal budget. He wrote: “I visited Kent Hospital in Warwick today & heard about how important it is to protect health care funding in the federal budget – for doctors, nurses, & especially for patients and families. We must include health care funding in the budget so people can afford to get care.”
Magaziner has represented Rhode Island’s 2nd District since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. Born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, Magaziner graduated from Brown University with a BA in 2006 and later from Yale University in 2010.
