Seth Magaziner, U.S. Congressman representing Rhode Island’s 2nd district, addressed constituents and highlighted local advocacy efforts in a series of social media posts made between April 29 and April 30, 2026.
On April 29, Magaziner shared that he had spoken with thousands of residents about key policy issues: “Rhode Islanders are tired of the gridlock in Washington driven by greed and corruption. Tonight, I spoke with 8,000+ Rhode Islanders during my telephone town hall about lowering costs, ending the war, and cracking down on corruption.”
The following day, Magaziner posted about meeting with a local organization: “I had the opportunity to welcome @liveunitedri to my office to discuss their work to ensure every Rhode Islander has the chance to succeed.” On April 30 as well, he commented on Congressional leadership in a lighter tone: “It’s true, my daughter brushed her teeth with peanut butter last night. And she could run the House better than the current leadership.”
Magaziner began his term in Congress after succeeding James Langevin in 2023. Born in Bristol in 1983 and now residing in Cranston at age 39, Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
