Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on October 7, 2025, addressing healthcare costs, law enforcement support, and concerns over the allocation of federal resources under the Trump administration.
In his first post of the day, Magaziner highlighted bipartisan concerns about healthcare costs. He wrote, “I joined @alivitali on @MSNBC this morning to discuss why even some Republicans in Washington are starting to agree with what Democrats have been saying: We need to fix the health care cost crisis now.” (October 7, 2025).
Later that afternoon, Magaziner criticized former President Trump’s approach to national security. He stated, “Instead of finding terrorists, drug smugglers, and human traffickers, Trump is diverting resources to silence people engaging in free speech. This is dangerous, undemocratic, and makes America less safe. @HomelandDems” (October 7, 2025).
In a third post the same day, Magaziner commended local law enforcement in Rhode Island and announced funding support. He said, “Johnston police go above and beyond to keep Rhode Islanders safe. I am proud to deliver funding for new motorcycles to support their vital work and help improve response times.” (October 7, 2025).
Seth Magaziner has served in Congress since replacing James Langevin in 2023. He was born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston. Magaziner graduated from Brown University in 2006 and later earned a degree from Yale University in 2010.
