Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on December 3, 2025, addressing health care affordability, educational achievement, and international policy.
In a post at 15:40 UTC on December 3, Magaziner wrote: “Rhode Islanders are getting crushed by health care costs. No family should have to choose between a doctor’s visit and a month’s rent.
I’m fighting to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits and protect Medicaid so every RIer can get the care they need at a price they can afford.”
Later that day, at 18:02 UTC, he recognized local educator Sarah Dully with the following message: “Congratulations to Narragansett High School’s Sarah Dully on being named Rhode Island’s 2026 Teacher of the Year.
Her dedication to her students grow is truly inspiring.
Well-deserved! https://t.co/NsFgPmx1ix“
Addressing international affairs in another post at 18:15 UTC, Magaziner commented on ongoing military actions in Israel and U.S. policy responses: “Heartbreaking and unacceptable.
I will continue to support H.R.3565 to halt the transfer of offensive weaponry to Israel until the Israeli Military adopts stronger protocols to prevent civilian deaths.
Magaziner has served as Rhode Island’s representative for the state’s 2nd congressional district since 2023, succeeding James Langevin. He was born in Bristol in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston. Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University (2006) and Yale University (2010).
